Comparison review
IPad Air 2 has a general score of 79.3, which is better than the Microsoft Surface 3's 66.3 overall score. The iPad Air 2 body is notably thinner and incredibly lighter than Microsoft Surface 3, although they were released with only a couple of months difference. IPad Air 2 has a little better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has an inferior number of slower cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bit processor.
The iPad Air 2 features a way better screen than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 2048 x 1536 resolution and a little better display pixels density. The Microsoft Surface 3's memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is very similar to Apple iPad Air 2's one, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Apple iPad Air 2 features a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface 3. The Apple iPad Air 2 has a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface 3. They have the same video frame rate, the same (Full HD) video definition and a 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, Apple iPad Air 2 is also very cheap compared to the other tablets, which makes this tablet a great choice.
