IPad Air 2 is much better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, having a score of 79.3 against 69.2. IPad Air 2 has iOS 8.x OS, while Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8 OS. IPad Air 2 is a way newer tablet, and it is also a lot thinner and way lighter than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5. The iPad Air 2 counts with a bit better processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has an inferior number of cores and also slower, and they both have a 2 GB RAM, the iPad Air 2 also counts with a 64-bit CPU.
IPad Air 2 has a sharper display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better display pixel density and a much better resolution of 2048 x 1536px. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features as much memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the iPad Air 2 one, they have the same internal storage.
The iPad Air 2 features a very superior camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 5. Both have a 8 mega-pixels back facing camera. IPad Air 2 counts with a way better battery duration than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a 7340mAh battery capacity.
IPad Air 2 costs more money than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
