The iPad Air 2 has a general score of 79.3, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2's overall score of 78.2. IPad Air 2 works with iOS 8.x OS, and Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 works with Android 4.4 OS. IPad Air 2's design is newer, noticeably thinner and much lighter than the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2.
The Apple iPad Air 2 has a little more vivid display than Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, because although it has a little worse 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater pixel count per inch of screen. Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features a little faster processing unit than Apple iPad Air 2, because although it has a 32-bits processor instead of 64-bits, it also counts with more RAM memory, an additional graphics co-processor and a greater number of cores.
IPad Air 2 counts with a better camera than Galaxy NotePRO 12.2. Both have a back camera with an 8 mega-pixels, the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video quality. IPad Air 2 features a little bit more memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.

So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the iPad Air 2, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, letting go some specs and features.
