Comparison review
IPad Air 2 has a global score of 79.3, which is better than the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's global score of 71.3. The iPad Air 2 has iOS 8.x OS, and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact comes with Android 4.4 OS. Even though the iPad Air 2 and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact were only released with a couple months difference, iPad Air 2's design is just a little bit thinner but also way heavier.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features a bit better looking display than iPad Air 2, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen. IPad Air 2 features a very superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a little bit better performance than Apple iPad Air 2, because although it has a 32 bits processor instead of 64-bits, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory, a larger number of cores and an additional graphics processor. The iPad Air 2 captures much better videos and photos than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, although it has a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a camera in the back with less megapixels, they both have a same size camera aperture.
IPad Air 2 has a much longer battery life than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because it has 7340mAh of battery capacity against 4500mAh.
The iPad Air 2 costs a little more than the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
