Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is slightly better than the iPad Air 2, having a 74.4 score against 74.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 works with Android 4.4.2 OS, and iPad Air 2 counts with iOS 8.x OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 design is much lighter but just a bit thicker than the iPad Air 2, and both were released with only a few months difference.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's processing unit is just as good as the processor in iPad Air 2, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a 32 bits processor instead of 64-bits, it also counts with more RAM and 7 more CPU cores. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a bit more vivid screen than iPad Air 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixel number per inch of screen and a quite better 2560 x 1600px resolution.
IPad Air 2 counts with a better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4. They have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, a same resolution back-facing camera and the same 30 fps video frame rate. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much better storage for apps and games than iPad Air 2, because it has more internal storage and an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB.
The Apple iPad Air 2 has a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 50% bigger battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is not only the best tablets between the ones we are comparing here, but it's also by far the cheapest one.
