The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much better storage for apps and games than iPad Air 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The Apple iPad Air 2 has a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 50% bigger battery capacity.
Although iPad Air 2 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
