Comparison review
The Apple iPad Air 2 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, having a 74.2 score against 73.3. Apple iPad Air 2 works with iOS 8.x OS, and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS. The Apple iPad Air 2 design is just a little thinner but extremely heavier than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and both were released with only a few months difference.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's processing unit is just as good as the processor in iPad Air 2, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a 32 bits processor instead of 64-bits, it also counts with more RAM and 7 more CPU cores. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a bit more vivid screen than iPad Air 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixel number per inch of screen and a quite better 2560 x 1600px resolution.
IPad Air 2 counts with a better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4. They have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, a same resolution back-facing camera and the same 30 fps video frame rate. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much better storage for apps and games than iPad Air 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The Apple iPad Air 2 has a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 50% bigger battery capacity.
Although iPad Air 2 is a better device, it is more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
