Apple iPad Air (2019) has an overall score of 85.9, which is a little bit better than the Apple iPad Air 2's 79.3 global score. Apple iPad Air (2019) is a a little bit heavier tablet than Apple iPad Air 2, but they are equally thin. The Apple iPad Air 2 has a little more vivid screen than Apple iPad Air (2019), although it has a little lower resolution of 2048 x 1536px, a just a bit inferior pixel quantity in each inch of display and a quite smaller screen.
The iPad Air (2019) counts with a better processing unit than iPad Air 2, and although they both have a 64-bits CPU, the iPad Air (2019) also has a higher number of cores and more RAM memory. The iPad Air (2019) has a much better memory to install applications and games than Apple iPad Air 2, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Apple iPad Air (2019) shoots clearer pictures and videos than Apple iPad Air 2, and although they both have the same aperture, the same (Full HD) video quality and a 8 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, the Apple iPad Air (2019) also has better 120 fps video frame rate. IPad Air (2019) has a bit longer battery duration than iPad Air 2, because it has 8134mAh of battery capacity.
Although Apple iPad Air (2019) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the iPad Air 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPad Air 2. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Apple iPad Air (2019), else you can save some dollars and buy the iPad Air 2, giving up a couple features and specs.
