Comparison review
The iPad Air (2020) is just a bit better than Apple iPod Touch (2019), having a 71.7 score against 66.9. IPad Air (2020) works with iPadOS 14.x operating system, while Apple iPod Touch (2019) counts with iOS 13.x operating system. The iPad Air (2020) is a much heavier tablet device than the Apple iPod Touch (2019), but both of them have the same thickness.
Apple iPad Air (2020) has a more powerful processor than iPod Touch (2019), because it has a 64-bit CPU and more processing cores. IPod Touch (2019) counts with a bit more vivid display than Apple iPad Air (2020), because although it has a really smaller display and a way worse 640 x 1136px resolution, and they both have the same brightness, the iPod Touch (2019) also counts with a just a bit higher screen density.
The Apple iPod Touch (2019) has a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than iPad Air (2020), because it has more internal storage capacity. The iPod Touch (2019) has a battery lifetime that is just as good as iPad Air (2020)'s battery performance. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the iPad Air (2020), otherwise you can save some money and buy the iPod Touch (2019), letting go a couple features and specs.
