Comparison review
Apple iPad mini 2 is much better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, having a 77.2 score against 68.5. Even when the Apple iPad mini 2 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 were released only 1 months apart, the Apple iPad mini 2 is somewhat lighter and just a bit thinner. The Apple iPad mini 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.2.2 operating system.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's processing unit is just as good as the processing unit in iPad mini 2, because although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a 32-bit processing unit against 64-bits and a slower GPU running at 450 megahertz, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores.
