Comparison review
Apple iPad mini 2 has a general score of 77.2, which is a bit better than iPad 3's global score of 71.1. These tablets use iOS operating system, but Apple iPad mini 2 has a newer 8.x version while iPad 3 has iOS 6.1, providing the user lots of additional features and performance improvements. The Apple iPad mini 2 construction is newer, much lighter and somewhat thinner than the iPad 3.
The Apple iPad mini 2 has a bit more vivid screen than Apple iPad 3, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, the Apple iPad mini 2 also counts with a just a little greater pixel density. IPad mini 2 features a faster processing unit than Apple iPad 3, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM and 2 cores, the iPad mini 2 also has an extra graphics co-processor and a 64-bits processing unit.
The Apple iPad mini 2 features a much greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Apple iPad 3, because it has 128 GB internal storage. The Apple iPad 3 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than iPad mini 2, because it has a 11560mAh battery size instead of 6471mAh. The iPad mini 2 features just a bit better camera than iPad 3. They have the same video frame rate, the same resolution camera, the same camera aperture and the same (Full HD) video definition.
Although Apple iPad mini 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the iPad 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as iPad 3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Apple iPad mini 2, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the iPad 3, letting go some specifications.
