Comparison review
The Apple iPad mini 2 has a score of 77.2, which is a bit better than iPad mini 4's global score of 75.6. Even though the Apple iPad mini 2 is better than the iPad mini 4, we must highlight that it's also an older, a lot thicker and somewhat heavier tablet. Both tablets in this comparison come with iOS operating system, but Apple iPad mini 2 has 8.x version and iPad mini 4 has iOS 9.x.
Apple iPad mini 2 has a superior CPU than Apple iPad mini 4, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processor, a 64-bits CPU and more processing cores. IPad mini 2 has a little sharper display than Apple iPad mini 4. Both have the same amount of pixels per inch in the display, a screen with the same size and the same resolution of 1536 x 2048px.
The iPad mini 2 and the iPad mini 4 count with really similar memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both of them have equal 128 GB internal memory. The Apple iPad mini 2 counts with longer battery performance than iPad mini 4, because it has 6471mAh of battery capacity. IPad mini 4 has just a bit better camera than Apple iPad mini 2, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, a F2.4 camera aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the iPad mini 4 also has a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
Although iPad mini 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the iPad mini 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPad mini 4. If you prefer to save some money, you can get iPad mini 4, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
