Comparison review
The iPad mini 2 has an overall score of 77.2, which is way better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation's overall score of 62.7. Both devices in this review include iOS operating system, but iPad mini 2 has a more recent 8.x version and iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x. The iPad mini 2 design is newer, but thicker and incredibly heavier than the iPod Touch 5th Generation.
IPad mini 2 features a little sharper screen than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a much larger display. IPad mini 2 features a superior CPU than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have 2 CPU cores, the iPad mini 2 also has a faster graphics processing unit, a larger amount of RAM and a 64-bit CPU.
IPad mini 2 features a lot bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity. Apple iPad mini 2 counts with a very superior battery duration than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 528 percent greater battery capacity.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation has a camera that is very similar to iPad mini 2's camera, they have the same camera aperture, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, a 5 megapixels camera in the back and the same video frame rate.
IPad mini 2 costs a lot more money than iPod Touch 5th Generation, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra dollars.
