The iPad mini 2 has a global score of 77.2, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface Pro's overall score of 63.2. IPad mini 2 is a newer tablet, and it is also noticeably thinner and lighter than Microsoft Surface Pro. The iPad mini 2 comes with iOS 8.x OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro OS.
IPad mini 2 features a sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1536 x 2048 resolution and much more pixels per inch of screen. The Microsoft Surface Pro has as much storage for games and applications as Apple iPad mini 2, both of them have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity.
