Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a global score of 82.4, which is a bit better than the iPad mini 2's score of 77.2. Even though the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is newer than the iPad mini 2, it's noticeably heavier and just a little thicker. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) works with Windows 10 Pro OS, and iPad mini 2 has iOS 8.x OS.
The Apple iPad mini 2 features a more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a lot smaller screen and a much lower resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a much greater storage for apps and games than Apple iPad mini 2, because it has 1000 GB internal memory.
IPad mini 2 counts with a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Dual-Core processor, the iPad mini 2 also counts with an additional graphics processor and a 64 bits processor.
