Comparison review
The Apple iPad mini 2 has a score of 77.2, which is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro 3's 72.2 general score. Apple iPad mini 2 is a much lighter and thinner tablet device than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, even when they were released only a couple months apart. The Apple iPad mini 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system.
IPad mini 2 has a bit superior CPU than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 2 cpu cores, the iPad mini 2 also counts with a 64-bit processing unit and an additional graphics processing unit. The iPad mini 2 features a much better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a better display density and a slightly higher resolution of 1536 x 2048px.
IPad mini 2 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both of them have the same (Full HD) video definition, the same video frame rate and a back facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Apple iPad mini 2, because it has more internal storage capacity.
