IPad mini 2 has a general score of 77.2, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 7's 66.9 score. The iPad mini 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, while Microsoft Surface Pro 7 counts with Windows 10 operating system. Even though the iPad mini 2 is way older than Microsoft Surface Pro 7, it's construction is way lighter and just a little bit thinner.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 counts with a little faster processing unit than Apple iPad mini 2, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU and a 32 bits CPU against 64-bits, and they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 also counts with 3 GB more RAM. IPad mini 2 features a better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 7, because although it has a really smaller display and a way worse 1536 x 2048 resolution, it also counts with a little bit higher screen density.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7 features as much memory capacity to install games and applications as the iPad mini 2 one, both have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity. Apple iPad mini 2 counts with a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 7, although it has a back camera with a lot lower 5 mega pixels resolution and a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
