The Apple iPad mini 2 has a global score of 77.2, which is better than Samsung ATIV Tab 5's 69.2 score. Apple iPad mini 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, and Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with Windows 8 operating system. The Apple iPad mini 2 body is newer, extremely thinner and extremely lighter than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5.
IPad mini 2 features a little faster processing unit than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Dual-Core processor, the iPad mini 2 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processor. The iPad mini 2 features a lot better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a lot smaller display, it also counts with way more pixels per inch in the display and a way better resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels.
IPad mini 2 features a much better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, although it has a way lower 5 MP resolution back facing camera. Although iPad mini 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung ATIV Tab 5. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
