IPad mini 2 is much better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, with a score of 77.2 against 67.8. The iPad mini 2 construction is just a little bit thinner and a lot lighter than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, although they were only released with a couple months difference. IPad mini 2 has iOS 8.x operating system, and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 works with Android 4.4.2 operating system.
The iPad mini 2 counts with just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a much better graphics co-processor working at 600 megahertz and a 64-bit CPU. IPad mini 2 has an incredibly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a lot better pixels quantity per inch in the screen and a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels.
IPad mini 2 features a way better camera than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a way better video resolution and a camera with much more megapixels. The iPad mini 2 features a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a little longer battery duration than iPad mini 2, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity against 6471mAh.
Although iPad mini 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the iPad mini 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, giving up some specifications.
