The iPad mini 2 comes with iOS 8.x operating system, and Galaxy Tab A (2016) works with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Although the iPad mini 2 is way older and heavier than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), it's body is still somewhat thinner.
