IPad mini 2 has an overall score of 77.2, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5's general score of 74.3. IPad mini 2's construction is noticeably lighter but somewhat thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and they were released with only a few months difference. The iPad mini 2 has iOS 8.x OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 works with Android 4.4.2 OS.
The iPad mini 2 features a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a lot smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1536 x 2048, it also counts with a bit better screen density. IPad mini 2 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory and a lower number of cores, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and a graphics processing unit.
