Apple iPad mini 2 has a general score of 72, which is better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation's score of 62.7. These tablets have iOS operating system, but Apple iPad mini 2 has the newer 8.x version and iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x version, counting with some additional features and performance optimizations. Even though the Apple iPad mini 2 is newer than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, it's extremely thicker and noticeably heavier.
IPad mini 2 counts with a slightly better looking screen than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1536 x 2048px and a way larger screen.
