Comparison review
The iPad mini 3 has a global score of 77.5, which is much better than iPod touch 6th generation's 65.6 overall score. Even though the iPad mini 3 is a better device than iPod touch 6th generation, it must be told that it is also an older, heavier and extremely thicker device. Both tablets in our current comparison include iOS operating system, but iPad mini 3 has a more recent 8.x version while iPod touch 6th generation has iOS 12.x version, so it gives a couple additional features and enhanced performance.
IPad mini 3 features a little sharper screen than Apple iPod touch 6th generation, because although it has a quite lower pixel count per display inch, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048 and a lot larger screen. IPad mini 3 features a better processor than Apple iPod touch 6th generation, and although they both have the same number of cores and a 1 GB RAM, the iPad mini 3 also has an extra GPU and a 64-bit processor.
IPod touch 6th generation captures just a bit better photos and videos than iPad mini 3, and although they both have the same video resolution, a F2.4 aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the iPod touch 6th generation also has a camera in the back with way more mega-pixels. The Apple iPod touch 6th generation's storage capacity to install applications and games is very similar to the iPad mini 3 one, they have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The iPad mini 3 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than iPod touch 6th generation, because it has a 509% more battery capacity.
The iPad mini 3 is more expensive than iPod touch 6th generation, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
