Although the Apple iPad mini 3 is heavier than the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, it's a lot thinner and newer. Apple iPad mini 3 has iOS 8.x OS, while Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has Android 4.1 OS.
