The iPad mini 3 has iOS 8.x OS, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has Android 9.0 Pie OS. IPad mini 3 is a notably older and notably thicker tablet device than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, but Apple could make it much lighter anyway.
