The iPad mini 3 has a global score of 77.5, which is much better than Sony Xperia Tablet Z's 68.5 score. IPad mini 3 works with iOS 8.x OS, while Sony Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.4.4 OS. The iPad mini 3 body is newer and notably lighter than Sony Xperia Tablet Z's, although it's also a bit thicker.
The Apple iPad mini 3 has a little faster CPU than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has an inferior number of cores and lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a 64 bits CPU and a much better 600 MHz GPU.
