Comparison review
IPad mini 3 is just a bit better than iPad mini 2, with a 75.3 score against 72. Both of these devices use the same iOS 8.x OS, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding OS features. IPad mini 3's design has the same thickness than the iPad mini 2, but it is a little bit heavier. IPad mini 2 features a display that's very similar to the iPad mini 3 one, both of them have exactly the same resolution of 1536 x 2048, a display with the same size and a higher pixel count per inch of display.
IPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3 feature extremely similar processors, they have the same number of cores, the same RAM amount, a 64-bit CPU and a 600 MHz graphics processing unit. The iPad mini 2 has a camera that is very similar to the camera in Apple iPad mini 3, both have a camera in the back with a 5 megapixels, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same diafragm aperture and the same 1920x1080 video quality.
The Apple iPad mini 3 counts with a much bigger storage to store more games and applications than iPad mini 2, because it has 64 GB internal storage. The iPad mini 2 counts with just a little bit longer battery duration than iPad mini 3, because it has 6471mAh of battery capacity against 6350mAh.
IPad mini 3 costs a little more than the iPad mini 2, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
