Comparison review
The iPad mini 4 is slightly better than the iPad Air 2, having a 74.6 score against 74.2. The iPad mini 4 design has the same thickness than the iPad Air 2, but it is noticeably lighter. The iPad Air 2 features a slightly better looking display than iPad mini 4, because although it has a little bit worse quantity of pixels per screen inch, and they both have the same exact resolution of 2048 x 1536px, the iPad Air 2 also counts with a larger display.
IPad mini 4 features a very superior memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPad Air 2, because it has 128 GB internal memory. The iPad Air 2 has just a bit better processing power than Apple iPad mini 4, because although it has 1 less cores, and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the iPad Air 2 also counts with a 64-bits processor.
IPad Air 2 has a bit better camera than iPad mini 4. Both of them have a F2.4 diafragm aperture, a 8 MP resolution camera, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rates. The iPad Air 2 features a very superior battery lifetime than iPad mini 4, because it has a 43 percent larger battery size.
Although iPad mini 4 is a better device, it is way more expensive than iPad Air 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPad Air 2. So if you need that extra features, you can buy iPad mini 4, else you can save some money and buy the iPad Air 2, letting go some specs and features.
