Comparison review
The Apple iPad mini 2 is a little bit better than iPad mini 4, getting a general score of 77.2 against 75.6. Even though the Apple iPad mini 2 is better than iPad mini 4, it must be noted that it's also an older, somewhat heavier and incredibly thicker tablet. Both of these devices have iOS operating system, but the Apple iPad mini 2 has the older 8.x version and iPad mini 4 has iOS 9.x version.
IPad mini 2 features a bit more vivid screen than Apple iPad mini 4. Both have exactly the same 1536 x 2048 resolution, a higher count of pixels per inch in the screen and a same size screen. The Apple iPad mini 2's storage to install games and applications is very similar to the Apple iPad mini 4 one, both have equal internal memory.
IPad mini 2 features a more powerful CPU than Apple iPad mini 4, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a larger number of cores (but slower), an additional graphics co-processor and a 64-bit processor. Apple iPad mini 4 captures clearer pictures and videos than Apple iPad mini 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same camera aperture and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Apple iPad mini 4 also has a lot more megapixels back-facing camera.
IPad mini 2 has better battery life than iPad mini 4, because it has 6471mAh of battery capacity against 5124mAh.
Although Apple iPad mini 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Apple iPad mini 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Apple iPad mini 4. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Apple iPad mini 2, else you can save some money and buy the Apple iPad mini 4, resigning some features and specifications.
