Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024) has a general score of 76.6, which is slightly better than the iPad 3's 71.1 general score. The Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024) is a way thinner and much lighter device than the iPad 3. The Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024) comes with iPadOS 16.x operating system, and iPad 3 comes with iOS 6.1 operating system.
The iPad 3 counts with a very superior hardware performance than Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024), although it has a lower number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM. The iPad 3 features a sharper display than Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024), although it has a little smaller screen, a little bit worse count of pixels per inch of display and a little bit worse resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels.
IPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024) takes much better photographs and videos than iPad 3, because it has a way larger aperture, a much better 3840x2160 video quality and a way more megapixels back facing camera. The iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024) has a very superior storage capacity for applications and games than iPad 3, because it has 192 GB more internal storage.

Although Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Apple iPad 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Apple iPad 3. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (M4, 2024), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Apple iPad 3, giving up a couple features and specifications.
