Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is better than the Apple iPad 3, with an 81.1 score against 71.1. Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a newer tablet, and it's also noticeably thinner and just a little lighter than Apple iPad 3. IPad 3 has a bit better looking screen than Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), although it has a just a bit less pixels per inch of display, a much lower 1536 x 2048 resolution and a much smaller screen.
Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) features a very superior CPU than Apple iPad 3, because it has more RAM and a greater number of faster cores. The iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) captures much clearer photographs and videos than Apple iPad 3, because it has a much higher video quality, a camera in the back with way more megapixels and a much bigger camera aperture.
IPad 3 and iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) feature really similar storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both have equal internal storage capacity. The iPad 3 has better battery lifetime than iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), because it has a 11560mAh battery capacity.
Although Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Apple iPad 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Apple iPad 3. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), else you can save a couple dollars and get the Apple iPad 3, giving up some features and specs.
