IPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) has a general score of 81.1, which is a little bit better than the iPad Air 2's 79.3 global score. Although the iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a lot heavier than the iPad Air 2, it's a bit thinner and also newer. The iPad Air 2 has a little bit better looking display than iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), although it has a little lower pixels density, a really smaller screen and a way worse resolution of 2048 x 1536.
Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) has a bit superior CPU than iPad Air 2, because although it has a 32 bits CPU against 64-bits, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The iPad Air 2 has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), because it has 128 GB internal memory.
The iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) features a much better camera than iPad Air 2, because it has a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution, a way higher resolution camera in the back and a way bigger aperture to take better low-light photos and video. The Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) features superior battery life than iPad Air 2, because it has a 32 percent more battery capacity.
Although Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than iPad Air 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as iPad Air 2. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), else you can save some money and buy the iPad Air 2, resigning some specifications.
