The iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a little bit better than the iPad mini 2, with a global score of 81.1 against 77.2. Even though iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is notably heavier than the iPad mini 2, it's thinner and also incredibly newer. The iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) has a bit superior processing unit than Apple iPad mini 2, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor and a 32-bit CPU instead of 64-bits, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and 6 more cores.
IPad mini 2 has just a bit better looking display than iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), because although it has a really smaller display and a lot worse 1536 x 2048 resolution, it also counts with a little better pixel density. IPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) shoots way better photographs and videos than Apple iPad mini 2, because it has a way larger aperture for better low light photography and video, a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a back facing camera with a much higher resolution.
Apple iPad mini 2 counts with much more memory capacity for applications and games than Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), because it has 64 GB more internal storage. IPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) has a superior battery life than Apple iPad mini 2, because it has a 50 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the iPad mini 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the iPad mini 2. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), but if you don't you can save some money and get the iPad mini 2, giving up a couple specs and features.
