IPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) has a general score of 81.1, which is a little bit better than the iPad mini 3's score of 77.5. IPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a newer and notably thinner tablet device than iPad mini 3, but it is also heavier. IPad mini 3 has a little bit better looking screen than iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), because although it has a lot worse 1536 x 2048 resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better pixel amount in each inch of screen.
The Apple iPad mini 3 has a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018), because it has more internal memory capacity. IPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) features a little bit better performance than iPad mini 3, because although it has a 32-bit processing unit against 64-bits and doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and they are faster) and 3 GB more RAM.
The iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) has a much longer battery performance than Apple iPad mini 3, because it has a 9720mAh battery size. IPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) shoots much clearer photos and videos than iPad mini 3, because it has a lot higher 3840x2160 video quality, a much more mega-pixels back camera and a lot bigger aperture.
Although iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2018) is a better device, it is way more expensive than iPad mini 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as iPad mini 3. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get iPad mini 3, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
