Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is much better than Apple iPod touch 4th generation, having a 60.1 score against 51.2. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 construction is newer, but a lot heavier and just a bit thicker than Apple iPod touch 4th generation. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 works with Android 5.0 OS, while Apple iPod touch 4th generation counts with iOS 6.1 OS.
