Comparison review
Apple iPad 3 is better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, getting a global score of 71.1 against 62.7. The Apple iPad 3 is a thicker and extremely heavier portable tablet than the iPod Touch 5th Generation. Both of these devices work with iOS OS (Operating System), but Apple iPad 3 has an older 6.1 version and iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x.
IPod Touch 5th Generation counts with just a little better processing power than iPad 3, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Dual-Core processor, the iPod Touch 5th Generation also counts with an extra graphics processing unit. IPod Touch 5th Generation has a bit sharper screen than Apple iPad 3, because although it has a lot worse 1136 x 640 resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of display.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Apple iPad 3. Both have a 5 mega-pixels back camera, the same video frame rates, the same video resolution and the same aperture. The Apple iPad 3's memory for games and applications is just as good as Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation's one, they have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory.
The Apple iPad 3 features a much longer battery lifetime than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 11560mAh of battery capacity.
Apple iPad 3 is a little more expensive than iPod Touch 5th Generation, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
