IPad 4 has a score of 70.8, which is better than the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation's 62.7 score. The iPad 4 is a way thicker and extremely heavier tablet than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation. Both tablets we compare here come with the same iOS 7.x OS, so you shouldn't notice any difference in that aspect.
The iPad 4 has a bit superior processing unit than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have a 400 megahertz graphics processor and the same number of cores, the iPad 4 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a little more vivid screen than iPad 4, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a lot worse resolution of 1136 x 640, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixel quantity in each inch of screen.
The Apple iPad 4 counts with a camera that's just as good as the camera in iPod Touch 5th Generation, both of them have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 video definition, the same resolution camera and a F2.4 aperture. IPad 4 features a very superior storage for games and applications than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 64 GB more internal storage capacity.

Although Apple iPad 4 is a better device, it costs a lot more than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPod Touch 5th Generation. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Apple iPad 4, but if you don't you can save some money and get the iPod Touch 5th Generation, letting go a couple specifications.
