Comparison review
The Apple iPad Air 2 has a score of 79.3, which is way better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation's 62.7 score. Both devices we are comparing here use iOS OS (Operating System), but the Apple iPad Air 2 has the newer 8.x version while iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x version, so it counts with a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks. Apple iPad Air 2's construction has the same thickness than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, but it is way heavier.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation features a bit more vivid display than iPad Air 2, because although it has a lot lower 1136 x 640 resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater pixels density. The iPad Air 2 has a more powerful CPU than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has an inferior number of cores and doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with more RAM and a 64 bits CPU.
IPad Air 2 features a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 128 GB internal memory. IPad Air 2 shoots a bit better photos and videos than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have a F2.4 camera aperture, the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the iPad Air 2 also has a lot better resolution back-facing camera.
The Apple iPad Air 2 counts with a really longer battery performance than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 7340mAh battery capacity.
IPad Air 2 is a little more expensive than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
