Comparison review
The iPad mini 2 is much better than iPod Touch 5th Generation, getting a 72 score against 62.7. IPad mini 2 is a newer device than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, although it's noticeably thicker and heavier. Both tablets in our current comparison come with iOS operating system, but the iPad mini 2 has a newer 8.x version and iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x.
The Apple iPad mini 2 features a more powerful CPU than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have 2 CPU cores, the Apple iPad mini 2 also has a 64-bit processing unit, more RAM and a better graphics processor running at 600 megahertz. The iPad mini 2 counts with a little bit better screen than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has a little worse count of pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a much better 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution and a much bigger display.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than iPad mini 2, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity. IPad mini 2 counts with a much longer battery performance than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 6471mAh battery size instead of 1030mAh.
The Apple iPad mini 2 counts with a camera that is very similar to the iPod Touch 5th Generation one, they have a same size diafragm aperture, the same video frame rate, a 5 MP back-facing camera and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.
The iPad mini 2 costs a bit more than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
