The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a global score of 62.7, which is a little bit better than the iPad mini (7th Gen)'s 61 global score. The iPod Touch 5th Generation comes with iOS 7.x operating system, while iPad mini (7th Gen) comes with iPadOS 15.x operating system. Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation has a much powerful CPU than iPad mini (7th Gen), because although it has less cores , it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a little more vivid display than iPad mini (7th Gen), although it has a quite worse screen pixel density, a way worse 1136 x 640 resolution and a way smaller screen. IPad mini (7th Gen)'s memory capacity for games and applications is very similar to iPod Touch 5th Generation's one, they have equal internal storage capacity.
The iPad mini (7th Gen) captures way better videos and photos than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a lot bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light photography and videos and a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution. The iPod Touch 5th Generation features a much longer battery duration than iPad mini (7th Gen).
