IPod Touch (2019) has a score of 66.9, which is slightly better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation's overall score of 62.7. IPod Touch (2019) has the same thickness and weight than iPod Touch 5th Generation. These tablets include iOS OS (operating system), but the iPod Touch (2019) has an older 13.x version and iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x.
The iPod Touch (2019) features a faster CPU than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a higher number of cores. Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a bit better looking screen than Apple iPod Touch (2019). Both of them have a display with the same size, the same resolution of 1136 x 640 and the same amount of pixels per display inch.
The iPod Touch (2019) features a superior memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has more internal storage capacity. IPod Touch 5th Generation has a way better battery lifetime than iPod Touch (2019). IPod Touch (2019) takes a little bit better pictures and videos than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, a F2.4 diafragm aperture and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the iPod Touch (2019) also has a lot more MP camera in the back.
Although Apple iPod Touch (2019) is a better device, it is way more expensive than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the iPod Touch 5th Generation. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Apple iPod Touch (2019), else you can save a couple dollars and buy the iPod Touch 5th Generation, resigning a couple specifications.
