The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a general score of 62.7, which is just a bit better than Asus MeMO Pad 8's overall score of 61.2. Despite of the fact that the iPod Touch 5th Generation is older than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, it's body is noticeably lighter and thinner. IPod Touch 5th Generation comes with iOS 7.x OS, and Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 OS.

IPod Touch 5th Generation features a slightly better screen than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has a lot worse 1136 x 640 resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a little better pixel count in each inch of display. IPod Touch 5th Generation has a little bit more memory for games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a better hardware performance than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and faster) and a greater amount of RAM memory. IPod Touch 5th Generation has a much longer battery lifetime than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

The iPod Touch 5th Generation shoots much better videos and photos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and although they both have a back facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels, the iPod Touch 5th Generation also has a much better 1920x1080 video definition.

Although Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
