Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 63.4, which is just a bit better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation's global score of 62.7. Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, and iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with iOS 7.x operating system. Microsoft Surface 2's body is newer, but noticeably heavier and notably thicker than iPod Touch 5th Generation.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a more vivid display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a way worse resolution of 1136 x 640 and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a way greater amount of pixels per inch of screen. The Microsoft Surface 2's memory for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as iPod Touch 5th Generation's one, both of them have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a bit faster CPU than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher number of cores and a higher amount of RAM. IPod Touch 5th Generation takes much better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 2. They have the same video frame rates, a camera with a 5 mega pixels resolution and the same video definition.
IPod Touch 5th Generation features a superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface 2, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, giving up some features and specifications.
