Samsung Ativ Tab is a bit better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, having a global score of 66.7 against 62.7. Despite being the best in this comparison, Samsung Ativ Tab is a notably thicker and notably heavier device than iPod Touch 5th Generation. Samsung Ativ Tab comes with Windows RT operating system, and iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x operating system.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation has an incredibly better looking screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a quite lower 1136 x 640 resolution and a really smaller display, it also counts with a way better amount of pixels per screen inch. The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a much better memory for games and applications than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB.
Samsung Ativ Tab features a bit better CPU than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have a 400 megahertz graphics processing unit and the same number of cores, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has 1,5 GB more RAM memory. Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation captures way better photos and videos than Samsung Ativ Tab, and although they both have a same resolution back camera, the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation also has a much higher (Full HD) video quality.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a much longer battery lifetime than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 8200mAh of battery capacity against 1030mAh.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
