Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has an overall score of 66.3, which is a bit better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation's general score of 62.7. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with Android 4.4 operating system, while iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with iOS 7.x operating system. Although it's the best in this comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 design is extremely heavier and extremely thicker than the iPod Touch 5th Generation.

The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation features a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a much better quantity of pixels per inch in the display. The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a bit superior processing unit than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores.

IPod Touch 5th Generation captures much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1, and although they both have a camera in the back with a 5 mega-pixels resolution, the iPod Touch 5th Generation also has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition. The Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a SD card slot that admits up to 32 GB.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 features a superior battery performance than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 7000mAh battery size.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as iPod Touch 5th Generation. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Note 10.1, else you can save some money and get the iPod Touch 5th Generation, letting go a couple specs and features.
