The iPod Touch 5th Generation is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), with a 62.7 score against 60.4. Even though the iPod Touch 5th Generation is noticeably older than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), it's construction is incredibly lighter and notably thinner. IPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x operating system, while Galaxy Tab A (2016) works with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

IPod Touch 5th Generation features a much better looking display than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a really smaller screen and a little bit worse 1136 x 640 pixels resolution, it also counts with a much greater pixel amount per inch in the screen. The iPod Touch 5th Generation features much more storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 56 GB more internal memory capacity.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) has just a bit better hardware performance than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM memory and 2 more processing cores. The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation shoots much better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have the same resolution back camera, the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation also has a much higher 1920x1080 video quality.

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a superior battery duration than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 1030mAh.

Although Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab A (2016). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A (2016), resigning a couple specifications.
