The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is much better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, getting a general score of 70 against 62.7. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is noticeably newer than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, it is notably thicker and extremely heavier. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 works with Android 9.0 Pie OS, and iPod Touch 5th Generation comes with iOS 7.x OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a bit more powerful processing unit than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with more RAM and a higher number of cores (and faster). The iPod Touch 5th Generation features a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a way smaller screen and a quite lower 1136 x 640 resolution, it also counts with much more pixels per display inch.
Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation features slightly more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, although it has a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a camera with much less megapixels.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a much better battery duration than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 4450mAh battery capacity instead of 1030mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the iPod Touch 5th Generation. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the iPod Touch 5th Generation, giving up a couple features and specs.
