Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a general score of 66, which is a bit better than iPod Touch 5th Generation's global score of 62.7. Even being the best we are comparing, Sony Vaio Tap 11's body is notably thicker and much heavier than iPod Touch 5th Generation. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 comes with Windows 8 operating system, while iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x operating system.

The Sony Vaio Tap 11 has just a bit better performance than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Vaio Tap 11 also counts with a higher amount of RAM. The iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a more vivid screen than Sony Vaio Tap 11, because although it has a much lower 1136 x 640 resolution and a much smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater pixel number per inch of display.

IPod Touch 5th Generation takes way better videos and photos than Sony Vaio Tap 11, although it has a camera in the back with a way worse 5 MP resolution. Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a very superior storage for games and applications than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 128 GB internal memory. Sony Vaio Tap 11 counts with a way better battery lifetime than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 3800mAh battery size instead of 1030mAh.

Although Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as iPod Touch 5th Generation. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy iPod Touch 5th Generation, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
