Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a score of 68.5, which is slightly better than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation's 62.7 overall score. Despite being the best in this review, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a thicker and way heavier tablet than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z works with Android 4.4.4 OS, and Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation works with iOS 7.x OS.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a little bit better looking display than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a lot smaller display and a way worse 1136 x 640 resolution, it also counts with a higher screen density. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better performance than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and although they both have a 400 MHz graphics processor, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a greater number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation features just a bit bigger memory to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a much better battery lifetime than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 1030mAh.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a very superior camera than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a camera with much less mega pixels and a lower (Full HD) video definition.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, letting go some features and specs.
