The Apple iPad mini 3 has a general score of 77.5, which is much better than the Apple iPod touch 6th generation's 65.6 score. These devices come with iOS OS, but Apple iPad mini 3 has the newer 8.x version while Apple iPod touch 6th generation has iOS 12.x version. Apple iPad mini 3 is an older, a lot heavier and noticeably thicker tablet device than the Apple iPod touch 6th generation.
The Apple iPad mini 3 counts with a little more vivid screen than Apple iPod touch 6th generation, because although it has a little bit worse display pixel density, it also counts with a lot bigger screen and a much better resolution of 1536 x 2048. The Apple iPad mini 3's memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is just as good as iPod touch 6th generation's one, both of them have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage.
IPad mini 3 has a better performance than iPod touch 6th generation, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores, the iPad mini 3 also has a 64 bits processing unit and an extra graphics processing unit. IPad mini 3 features a very superior battery life than iPod touch 6th generation, because it has a 6350mAh battery capacity.
The iPod touch 6th generation counts with just a bit better camera than iPad mini 3, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and a same size aperture, the iPod touch 6th generation also has a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels.
The iPad mini 3 is more expensive than the iPod touch 6th generation, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
