The iPod touch 6th generation works with iOS 12.x OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS. IPod touch 6th generation is a newer tablet, and it is also way thinner and a lot lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
